Description

Matricaria recutita. Asteraceae family

Also known as German Chamomile, Matricaria, Wild Chamomile.

The hollow heads of this annual plant resemble small daisies with an aromatic fragrance. Harvested at the beginning of the summer and quickly dried in the shade they preserve all of their qualities. the Matricaria is traditionally used as an appetite stimulant as well as to aid digestion and avoid bloating, soothe eye irritations or migraines and facilitate menstruation.  With its sweet, aromatic and flowery flavour, it is pleasant both before or after a meal.
